On 22nd September 2022, at our Annual General Meeting, Bernard Gallagher was unanimously re-elected to the position of Chairperson for another year. Bernard joined Care’s Board in March 2020 and his experience and knowledge of the social housing sector and of governance has helped guide the Association through some difficult times. In the same month of his appointment, the world was rocked by the Covid pandemic and the many challenges this created. During his tenure, we have improved our infrastructure significantly, and more than doubled our workforce. As we look to meet the challenges of the next few years head on, and aim to meet our ambitious growth targets, we are delighted that Bernard, along with his fellow Directors, will be here to continue to provide strong guidance and governance.
